Making a Charitable change over the years

Each year here at Acuity we are always looking forward to the major rugby fixtures and for the larger competitions we always run a Superbru Prediction pool. The competition is just for fun, no money changes hands, but the winner gets to nominate a charity to donate £100 pounds to.

The 2021 Six Nations has just drawn to a close with Wales being crowned the champions, and our worthy winner chose for his donation to go towards an incredible charity, CRY - Cardiac Risk in The Young. Their vision is to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and to support affected families.

With the world having just gone through an extremely tough year we took the chance to reflect on being fortunate enough to be able to support these charities when we can and to look back on the amazing causes that our winners have nominated over the years. The chosen charities have spanned an expansive range of causes close to our immediate and wider teams hearts including FORCE Cancer Charity, The Woodland Trust, Exeter Foodbank, The Dogs Trust, Motor Neurone Disease Association, Action for ME, Marie Curie, The Alzhiemer’s Society, Devon Air Ambulance, Willen Hospice and St Petrocks Homeless charity.

We aim to continue supporting charities with each Superbru competition going forward and to support our local community where we can, in particular the Exeter Foodbank who we have worked with for a number of years, donating and volunteering. This last year has been a stark reminder to support those around us and we are proud to be able to put a little bit back.
