South East England based Digital Infrastructure Consortium

Requirement A cross public sector consortium comprised of local authorities, fire and rescue, high and further education institutions, and the community and voluntary sector, required help to scope, procure, deliver, and manage connectivity and related services on behalf of its constituent organisations.

Delivery

Our support included:

  • Engaging directly with consortium members to build the business case for connectivity related services, including cost savings and broader socio-economic benefits.

  • Designing the process of engagement between the service providers and end user organisations, to ensure solution design proposals were produced to meet requirements and were delivered quickly to maximise the benefits delivered.

  • Supporting the introduction of new services for consortium members.

  • Supporting the consortium with the management of its service providers.

  • Supporting the consortium governance.  

Result Our contribution helped the consortium establish an effective partnership between the service provider and multiple cross-sector organisations. The organisations involved achieved IT cost savings, and set in place the common foundations for cross public sector working and collaboration.
